Remains of Rowan County man identified

CLEARFIELD, Ky. (LEX 18) — The human remains found in Rowan County on Sunday afternoon have been identified.

Coroner John Northcutt identified the remains as 39-year-old Gary Lee Perry of Morehead.

At 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, Kentucky State Police responded to a call of human remains in a field on McBrayer Road in Clearfield, Ky. The remains were then sent to the medical examiner's office in Frankfort to be identified.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
