RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Richmond man is in custody in connection with a shooting that happened earlier this week.
According to police, Corey M. Jones was arrested for the shooting that occurred on Gibson Lane on Aug. 27. Investigators were able to determine that Jones drove a red Ford mustang and resided on Ty Lane.
Officers located the video and took Jones into custody.
He told police that the shooting was self defense. A search warrant resulted in the discovery of the weapon believed to be involved.
Jones has been charged with assault and is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
