PARIS, Ky. (LEX 18) — Apparently false rumors at Bourbon County Middle School resulted in the middle and high schools being placed on lockdown for around an hour Friday morning.
Police are still on scene but there is no threat.
Several parents reached out to LEX 18 after receiving word that their students were locked down in class. Students are not allowed to leave the building, unless their parents pick them up.
It is the second false alarm at the school this year, according to police.
