LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18/WAVE) — President Donald Trump has plans to make a stop in Kentucky on Wednesday and crews are already preparing.
Trump will be delivering remarks at the 75th AMVETS Convention at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky.
The guest list for this trip will be much smaller than the Trump's last visit to Louisville.
Around 2,000 people will be in attendance on Wednesday, according to WAVE.
In preparation for his visit, the Secret Service told WAVE that it's been all hands on deck.
The Galt House will be open to guests and the public, but the Secret Service will secure the hotel and restrict where Trump will speak.
"Bomb sweeps, K-9 explosive sweeps, parking garages underneath the hotel, ballrooms above this room," said Rich Ferretti who is with the United States Secret Service in the Louisville Field Office. Ferretti was referring to some of the places that the Secret Service will be paying close attention to.
Trump will be landing in Louisville at the Air National Guard on Wednesday afternoon.
The Louisville Metro Police Department has a complete list of street closures here.
