LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police are investigating a shooting that happened near the campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
According to police, shots were fired on Booker Street near the college's Newtown Pike campus. No one was injured.
BCTC did not issue a lockdown after they say law enforcement advised them that there was no security threat.
A nearby vehicle was found to have two bullet holes in the windshield.
In a campus email, the school also stated that this incident is unrelated to threats at schools in Kentucky and Arkansas.
