FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — We saw a record number of Kentuckians file for absentee ballots for the primary election.

Secretary Michael Adams and Governor Andy Beshear agreed to keep that option in place for this election season, but they also looked at other methods to help people vote safely in-person.

When LEX 18 sat down with Secretary Adams last week, he explained what the state is doing to ensure those who need to vote absentee still can, while also expanding the voting window to ensure a level of social distancing.
