LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police have arrested the driver of the tractor-trailer that caught fire Thursday morning on I-75 for driving under the influence.

Police said 36-year-old Brandon DeCarlos Cooper, of Emerson, Arkansas, admitted to pouring "hemp oil" into three beers he drank prior to the incident. Police said Cooper told investigators he also ate two "cannabis edible gummies."

The tractor-trailer fire started at about 7:30 a.m. at the 119-mile marker on I-75 southbound.
