KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A trial date has been set in Knox County for the Whitley County man accused of killing his girlfriend, according to the Times Tribune.

Nicholas Rucker has been accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend, Vicki Conner, back in May.

Rucker was on the run from police for six weeks, until he was caught on July 4.

It has been reported that Rucker was in Knox County Circuit Court on Friday.

In Knox County, he has been charged with one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and one county of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Times Tribune, Rucker's trial has been scheduled for December 10.

In August, Rucker was indicted by a Whitley County jury on three charges: murder, evidence tampering and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Rucker pleaded not guilty to all three counts.
