LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two men charged with murder appeared before a judge in Lexington on Friday.
William Justus and Mervil Spencer were charged in the death of Michael Coyle. Both defendants were appointed public defenders and will return to court on Feb. 17.
A friend of Coyle said Spencer and Justuce were fighting outside his apartment on Bayou Court before Coyle grabbed a machete and told them to leave. Coyle was then allegedly attacked by Justuce and Spencer; Coyle died a couple weeks later.
