Update: According to police, they were dispatched to the area of outbound Versailles and Westmoreland for an injury collision and when they arrived, they found two vehicles involved, a passenger vehicle and a truck.
Police say that the driver of the passenger vehicle had to be removed from the vehicle by the Lexington Fire Department and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
LPD says that outbound Versailles Road at Man O’War is closed, and all outbound traffic is being diverted onto Man O’War.
A reconstruction unit is on the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
