JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Nicholasville Police arrested three people after an armed robbery turned into a hostage situation early Sunday morning.

Officers say they stopped a car that was driving without headlights shortly before 5:30.

An officer checking out the car reportedly saw what appeared to be a rifle.

Police say an AR-15 was found inside the vehicle.

The person driving told police that he was being robbed by the two people in the car and had been held hostage for several hours.

The victim says he was supposed to meet a girl he had talked with on Snapchat, but when he showed up, he was met by one man and one male juvenile with a rifle.

They allegedly demanded money and made the victim drive them to several places buying different items.

Police arrested Kevin Reed, Ashton Clark, and a minor.
