(LEX 18) — Nintendo has announced that it will release a smaller, cheaper version of the Nintendo Switch this fall.
The new Nintendo Switch Lite will cost $199, which is $100 cheaper than the Nintendo Switch.

The new system is lighter and does not have the detachable Joy-Cons and cannot connect to a television.
The system is slightly lighter than the Nintendo Switch and has a smaller screen. The screen on the lite version will be 5.5 inches, while the screen on the existing system is 6.2 inches.
The Nintendo Switch Lite will be released on September 20.
