Not a big rain maker

Rain showers develop Friday.

It sure was nice to see the sun today! Unfortunately clouds are about to roll back in ahead of rain chances leading into the weekend. A sprinkle or flurry are possible late tonight/early Friday. More rain showers will develop through the day tomorrow. The rain will rather quickly wrap up on Saturday, but the clouds will linger. This won't be a big rain maker. We are only expecting a quarter to a half inch of rain.

Temperatures over the next two days will remain seasonable with highs in the mid 40s. Then comes some big time warmth starting on Groundhog Day. Highs will run in the lower 60s early next week. The unseasonable warmth is a sign of an "energetic" pattern. A raging jet stream will run right through in the Ohio Valley into the middle part of next week. Rain chances will increase once again. Colder, more typical February air will follow later in the week. Could winter be upon us after all?
