CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has died following a crash in Clay County.
Kentucky State Police troopers say it happened on Saturday night before 10:30 on highway 149 Lockards Creek Road in the Manchester area.
Troopers say a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Jose Montero was traveling south when he lost control of his SUV and crossed the center line.
Deputies say he hit a deep ditch, the SUV was airborne and over turned.
The coroner pronounced Montero dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
Montero reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
