What a beautiful early September day!Open up the windows tonight and let some fresh air in! Under clear skies temperatures will drop into the 50s overnight. Temperatures will warm up quickly following the cool start. We'll be in the low to mid 80s Friday afternoon. The warm up continues into early next week as summer-like conditions return. Mostly sunny days will stay on repeat through early next week and along the way we'll welcome back a little more summer. Highs will be back near 90° by Monday and it will be turning more humid again. It will remain a little toasty through mid-week before yet another cold front drops in; wiping out some of the heat and humidity in the process. Welcome to early September where we bounce between seasons!

In other news, Hurricane Dorian remains strong and is currently battering the coast of the Carolinas. The threat of dangerous storm surge, inland flooding, and tornadoes will continue into Friday. The storm has yet to make landfall in the US, although it has come very close. A landfall will be possible tonight or early Friday between Wilmington and the Outer Banks in North Carolina. By the weekend Dorian will accelerate towards the maritime Canadian provinces.
