OWSLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — An Owsley County High School teacher, who was arrested in early November for sexual offenses, is now facing additional charges.
Kentucky State Police said they have continued their investigation into teacher James Cornett.
On November 11, troopers received a report that Cornett, 40, of Beattyville, had sexual contact with two students.
As a result of their investigation, Cornett was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Troopers said Cornett was arrested again on Friday night and charged with two additional counts of first-degree sex abuse.
He was taken to the Jackson County Detention Center in McKee, KY.
