KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police say that a pedestrian was killed Friday night in Knox County after being hit by two cars.
It happened just before 9 p.m. along US 25 E in Barbourville. Police say that 39-year-old Corey Tye, of California, was crossing the southbound lanes near Save-A-Lot when he was hit by a pickup truck in the slow lane. Police say that the impact tossed Tye into the passing lane where he was hit by a second vehicle.
Tye died at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
