MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police are back at Murphy's Landing, also known as the Brooklyn area, for the Melanie Flynn case.

Last week, police received a tip that Flynn may be buried in an underground septic tank at the old campground.

Police brought cadaver dogs here last week and police have come back on Tuesday.

Police received credible information from two sources claiming Flynn was buried here.

Flynn vanished in 1977 and her purse was later found in the Camp Nelson area along the Kentucky River.

Many believe that her disappearance has to do with the key players in the Blue Grass Conspiracy, which was a mega drug ring operated by dirty Lexington police in the 1970s.

LEX 18 has been told by police that they will use ground imaging equipment to see what exactly could be underground.
