GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Georgetown police officers have made an arrest in an early morning stabbing.
Scott County Coroner John Goble tells LEX 18 that 36-year-old Matthew A. Turner, 36, died of a stab wound to the neck. Police were called to the scene for reports of a person on the ground covered in blood. They arrived quickly and found Turned dead on the sidewalk.
Goble said Turner was an Indiana native who worked at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, plant. Turner was pronounced dead about 1:10 a.m. near his residence in the 1400 block of Iron Loop Path in Georgetown.
Cassandra Carson of Lawrenceburg, Ind. was arrested and charged with first degree manslaughter and violation of an emergency protective order.
