MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police received a call on Saturday about a naked man, covered in blood, that was trying to break into a house.

McCracken County Police responded to an attempted burglary with a strange twist.

The sheriff's office said they learned of a second house that had been broken into while investigating the call. Then, police found another house with an open door and blood around the doorway.

When reviewing security video from each of the homes, police learned that the man was armed with a large kitchen knife.

Deputies identified the suspect as Gabriel McGill, 20, of Paducah, Kentucky.

Police later learned that McGill was getting medical help at a nearby hospital and, once he was released, they arrested him.

McGill is now charged with burglary and attempted burglary. More charges are pending, according to police.
