LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington Police are investigating a shooting at the intersection of North Broadway and Loudon.

They say they received multiple calls about the shooting just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When LEX 18's Kylen Mills arrived at the scene, she said there were shell casings on the ground, and an SUV parked in the street. Police say the SUV was unoccupied when they arrived at the scene and it had several bullet holes in it.

Officers in the area reported seeing people running across the street to the Thorton's gas station. Police are investigating if those people are involved in the shooting.

At this point, police do not have any victims or suspects. So far, police say no victims have appeared at area hospitals.

A witness told LEX 18 that a man on a scooter started shooting at the SUV.

"He was trying to reach the door into the vehicle and so he couldn’t handle or whatever, so then he took the gun out and then he started shooting out shooting out. Busting out of the doors, and then the people that were in the car, like two gentleman got out, one of them was kind of stuck in, and then he shot him," the witness told LEX 18's Kylen Mills.
