Police respond to multiple shots fired, ends in three arrests

DANVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Sunday morning, police responded to a club in Danville, Kentucky for reports of multiple shots fired.

The police found a vehicle speeding away from club 859ers around 2:30 a.m. and began to start a traffic stop.

A short pursuit began and Sergeant Broach saw a handgun being thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit.

The vehicle stopped a short time later and three occupants were arrested.

Arieyon Smith of Lebanon, Kentucky and Royce Booker of Danville, Kentucky were both charged with public intoxication.

The driver, Dejan Haddis, 33, of Washington, D.C. has several charges. Haddis' charges include: disregarding a stop sign, reckless driving, operating a vehicle on a suspended license, fleeing police, possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle, tampering with physical evidence and theft by unlawful taking.

No victims were located on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
