LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Friday, a driver told police that she had no idea how she ended up with her car inside an art gallery.
Just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, police got a call that a car had driven into the Fayette Gallery, located on Richmond Road.
Police found the car, which had backed into the building.
The driver, who was not injured, told police she was backing out of a parking space, and the next thing she knew, the car was in the building.
Police said there was no evidence of drug or alcohol use and the driver most likely just hit the gas instead of the brake.
The building was checked and ground to be safe, expect for some damage to the front window.
