LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Laurel County Sheriff's Office tells LEX 18 that an autopsy was conducted after a man was found dead inside a home off High More Road Wednesday.
Deputies say that the man, identified as 51-year-old Terry Hammons, of Lexington, was found by a relative around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The body was sent to Frankfort, where the state medical examiner's office stated that the preliminary report shows Hammons' death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head, torso, and extremities.
The sheriff's office said that further testing has not yet been completed and they are continuing their investigation.
