RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — A public visitation was held in Richmond on Tuesday in honor of Savannah Spurlock.
People poured into the visitation at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home in Richmond. Several law enforcement officers even attended the service.
"You still wonder how? Why? You know? Who else is involved? Is there anyone else involved? There's a lot more, but they're working on it, and they'll get to it," said Kim Gipson, who grew close to the family as she helped with the searches for Savannah.
The family asked for no one to speak of the case or take photos during the public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for individuals to donate to The Aware Foundation or Lost-N-Missing.
Spurlock's funeral and burial will be held privately.
