It wouldn't be game day without rain lately. Today's match up against Louisville will be no different. Rain, which could be heavy at times, and a little chill will be around for your tailgate and through kickoff. We're expecting temperatures to slowly rise through the 40s during the game. A brief break in the rain looks to arrive during the second half. This lull will allow temperatures to surge into the 50s by late-day.
More rain with a few storms will fire up as the cold front approaches this evening. Rain will remain heavy at times and the wind will pick up with gusts over 30 mph. Showers will wind down by tomorrow morning. We aren't done with the active weather just yet. Colder air and little slug of moisture will wrap in on the backside of this system. Some rain and snow showers are possible late Sunday through mid-day on Monday. The higher elevations of southeastern Kentucky will have the best chances for light accumulations. Otherwise the departing system will leave us with a cloudy and raw day to start the week.
