Rain/snow ends overnight

The "January feel" will stick around.

With much colder air in place we have seen periods of light rain, flurries, sleet, and even graupel this afternoon. Scattered rain and snow showers will clear out overnight. The ridges of southeastern Kentucky could pick up a quick coating of snow. Any flakes will melt on contact for everyone else. Otherwise, mostly cold and cold tonight with lows in the 20s.

The January feel will hang around over the next few days. Sunday's high will be in the mid 40s and we will see some sunshine by the end of the day. There will be another quick hit of rain and snow showers on Tuesday. The pattern will then flip from chilly and dry to warm and wet. There will be a surge of moisture heading our way beginning on Friday. Rounds of rain will continue into next weekend. This pattern flip also sends high temperatures back to the 50s.
