LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) — Lexington Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at the Hyatt Regency hotel Sunday afternoon.
Fire officials say it happened around 2 p.m. when a private alarm went off.
Crews arrived to smoke coming from a transformer in the basement. The fire caused some parts of downtown to lose power for a short time.
There was no damage to the hotel and no one was hurt, but guests and employees were evacuated.
The hotel is working with guests to find them another place to stay.
