LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The annual Roots and Heritage Festival is underway in Lexington this weekend.
The festival celebrates regional diversity and provides entertainment and education for all ages. It has been recognized as one of the top ten festivals in the state.
Music groups and food will be available and there will be arts, crafts, and games available for kids.
"I think everybody can learn from each other. every can learn about different cultures things like that so it's not just for one person or from one particular group. everybody in the community can grow in order to continue to come together then you got to be able to showcase these things so everybody can come and support each other," said Festival Chair Kimberly Baird.
