Welcome to March and spring! Today brought the best of early spring in the Bluegrass. We had a good deal of sunshine and it was warm. Highs were in the low and mid 60s. That's 25 degrees warmer than yesterday afternoon when it was still winter.
Tomorrow brings the springtime showers and storms. A boundary draped to our north will provide an avenue for rounds of rain to move through the Bluegrass. The initial push of showers will arrive from our southwest after midnight. The rain will become widespread by morning. Periods of rain with a few storms will continue Monday afternoon into Tuesday. 1"-3" of rain will be possible by Wednesday, with some of the heaviest rain falling across southern Kentucky. Some flooding issues may develop.
