ROWAN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) — The Rowan County Coroner tells LEX 18 that a 19-year-old died at St. Claire Regional Medical Center after being underwater for about 20 minutes at Cave Run Lake.

A Fish and Wildlife officer on patrol, along with civilians, searched for the young man. When they found him, he had been underwater for about 20 minutes, according to the coroner.

CPR was given but was not successful. The 19-year-old was taken to St. Claire where he was pronounced dead.

The coroner said that the man is not from Rowan County and his name has not yet been released.
