Lower pressure across the region has been kicking up more cloud coverage and thunderstorms throughout the day. A few heavy rain showers have even caused some minor flooding across the Bluegrass. Scattered rain and thundershowers will show up on the MaxTrack through this evening, overnight, and through the day tomorrow.

Monday has such a high rain chance, that you’ll be lucky if you don’t receive any rain. A strong cold front will be diving southeast through the Ohio River Valley and it will cut down the current heat wave we sit in. Heavy rain showers have caused some flooding around the region this afternoon. There will still be a chance for flash flooding through Monday with the stronger storms expected. The strongest of thunderstorms will occur Monday afternoon and will primarily consist of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and strong wind gusts which could lead to property damage. Use caution and seek shelter if you hear thunder. Rain will come to an end as we make it into Tuesday afternoon. After that, cool, dry, and nice weather will encompass the entire rest of the upcoming work week.
