LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX) — New Circle Road on Lexington's north side is back open after semi overturned last Tuesday, shutting down the roadway for hours.
Authorities said the crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. on New Circle near Leestown Road.
Officials tell LEX 18 the semi, which did not have a trailer attached at the time, was traveling on the inner loop of New Circle Road when it veered off the roadway for unknown reasons.
The overpass was not damaged, although a guardrail sustained some damage.
The driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
