Sen. Bernie Sanders speaks to crowd in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Thousands of people gathered in Louisville on Sunday evening to hear from U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The People vs. Corporate Power rally got underway at 4 p.m. at the city’s public plaza.

Sanders criticized Sen. Mitch McConnell, calling on him to take up bills passed in the house to increase minimum wage, stop gun violence and secure our elections.

Sanders will speak to workers in West Virginia and Pittsburgh on Monday.
