An active set up is taking shape for Easter Sunday. An upper-level low will move out of Texas, cut through the Deep South, and eventually move northward towards the Commonwealth. A significant severe weather outbreak could unfold across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Locally, we'll see off and on showers throughout the day. It will be windy and warmer. Our window for strong and severe storms will open up during the evening and continue through early Monday morning.

Southern Kentucky is at greatest risk for severe weather. Any strong storm will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall. The tornado risk is low but not zero.
