MONTGOMERY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A roadway in Mt. Sterling is shut down after a police pursuit ended with a suspect attempting to drive into a festival.
West Main Street is blocked near the bypass is temporarily shut down. Officers tried to stop a vehicle and divert him from the downtown area. According to a post, officers say the man attempted to drive into the First Friday Market.
Officers say the driver also attempted to strike an officer.
