LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — This holiday season the Downtown Lexington Partnership started a program called "Shop and Celebrate."
Shoppers who spent at least $25 at participating businesses (https://www.downtownlex.com/signature-events/shop-and-celebrate/) can enter to win a New Year's package.
The program encourages shoppers to go to small, locally-owned businesses like Keeneland Mercantile or Gather on Main.
People can also go to the Triangle Park ice skating rink to be eligible to enter the contest.
People who spend the $25 can text "Downtown" to 474747 for a chance to win.
The program runs until the end of December.
