Changes are happening slowly

High pressure continues to dominate the forecast, leading to stagnant weather. Partly cloudy skies are enough to block some of the persistent sunshine, but temperatures are still warming into the upper 80s/low 90s. On top of the heat is the humidity present, and of course, the lack of rain. We are expecting a few bits in the 8-Day forecast.

Changes are occurring each day, but they remain small. A few degrees here, and a change in cloud patterns there. In the big picture, the pattern remains mostly the same. Rain chances remain low through the week, with only a small chance for hit-and-miss pop-ups. The weekend will remain dry, allowing for outdoor weather, but it will still be hot and humid throughout. A *bigger* change happens on the first day of fall (Monday) when a stronger front rolls through. This one will bring in cooler air taking the heat down about 5-10 degrees and cutting the humidity as well. We’re still going to be above average in temperatures, but closer to averages and not records. That change will last through much of next week.
