Troy Merritt was the leader after the opening round on Thursday and did just enough in his final round to win the Barbasol Championship with a -23 score.
Merritt came into the day tied with three other golfers at -18, but separated himself on the back nine to barely edge out a pack of golfers who closely trailed.
Three groups before Merritt was Billy Horschel, who just missed out on a putt that would have put him at -23.
Tom Lovelady was in the same group as Merritt and missed out on his birdie putt by just a few feet.
