LEXINGTON, Ky — One week after calling out the defense for a sub-par performance, Coach Stoops changed his tone towards that side of the ball and said scrimmage number two was overall better than the first.
Stoops replied to a comment asking if he likes where his team is at by saying he is always looking for more, but is confident that his team will get it right and will have a strong unit come gametime.
"I felt like there were times that one side or the other had success because of the other side being sloppy," said Stoops.
"I want to see one side winning because they're making outstanding plays. That wasn't always the case today. But defensively we were much more sound across the board."
Offensive lineman Logan Stenberg added in that the defense wanted it more Saturday and they won the battle. That's good news to hear because Stoops seemed to be pleased with the overall play from the offense.
Terry Wilson continued his poised play at the quarterback position, not turning the ball over for a second consecutive scrimmage.
"There's probably a few plays I could have been better on, but I felt like I did pretty good." said Wilson.
This upcoming week becomes a big one for Kentucky, with Stoops saying that they should have a good idea of the two-deep and who is redshirting by weeks end.
