AUBURN, Al- Kentucky used a 19-2 run to separate themselves from the Tigers, but Bryce Brown’s hot hand led a furious comeback that fell just short in Kentucky’s 82-80 win.

Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro led Kentucky with 20 points apiece, while Bryce Brown caught fire for Auburn and led the Tigers with 28.

Kentucky led by two points with 30 seconds left when Jared Harper drained a three-pointer to give Auburn their first lead of the entire second half.

Tyler Herro then drove to the bucket but was hand-checked on the way. As a result of being in the bonus, Herro sunk both free throws for Kentucky.

Harper then drove to the basket for Auburn and his shot rolled off the rim. Auburn’s last-second desperation heave didn’t hit rim and the Cats survived.

Kentucky shot an impressive 54% from the floor, but the Tigers were able to pull back in it with eight second-half threes. They were 13-30 from three in the game.

Kentucky improves to 14-3 (4-1).
