HALFTIME: Kentucky 39 South Carolina 28

LEXINGTON- Ky, South Carolina was red-hot out of the gate, but Kentucky ended the first half on a 17-4 run for a 39-28 lead at intermission.

 

The Wildcats shared the wealth, seeing seven different players score in the first half. P.J. Washington led the way with 11 points for Kentucky, benefitting from Chris Silva’s early two fouls which limited him to just six first half minutes.

 

South Carolina shot 45% as a team, but took seven less shots than Kentucky who shot an identical 45% from the floor.

 

The Gamecocks were led by Tre Campbell’s 11 points. He went a perfect 3-3 from deep.
