LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Coach Calipari tweeted out the bad news to Big Blue Nation on Wednesday.

Nate Sestina will be out for four weeks with a broken wrist. The coach addressed the adversity, saying the 6'9" grad student went to shoot a layup in practice and broke his wrist after he tried to break his fall after he was blocked.

Cal expressed sadness at Sestina's injury on Twitter, but said the team was moving forward.

"And now we regroup. Next man up. But, again, I kind of get jacked because now I gotta figure things out," said Cal.

Calipari asked Big Blue Nation to continue supporting the team and cheering on the players as they dealt with their rough streak and loss of Sestina.

Kentucky has been tested by a rash of injuries this season, including freshman Dontaie Allen and redshirt freshman Zan Payne, who are working their way back from previous injuries.

Sestina marks the eighth different Wildcat to suffer an injury this season.
