LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Tent City is back.
Wildcats fans scrambled to set up on prime real estate early Wednesday morning outside of Memorial Coliseum in an annual rite to get tickets ahead of Big Blue Madness.
The mad dash began at 5 a.m.
Fans of Big Blue Nation carrying tents, blankets and supplies scurried to get the best spots before tickets are distributed.
The tickets are free, but limited.
On Oct. 11, UK will hold its first open practice for the 2019-2020 men's and women's basketball tams. The event begins at 7 p.m.
Spectators will get a close look at who is on this year's teams and watch practice drills.
The UK Sports Network will live stream coverage of "Tent City Live" on Thursday evening through UK Athletics' website and on the men's basketball Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Tickets are available at Memorial Coliseum and online through TicketMaster.
