When was the last time you thought, "I don't think I need a coat this morning" *in December*? Your Friday is off to a balmy start. It won't be quite as warm this afternoon thanks to more clouds. Some stray sprinkles are also possible, especially through lunchtime. A weak cold front will try and cross the area later today. Skies will clear a bit late tonight through the first half of Saturday.
This boundary won't usher in a change in air mass. The unseasonable warmth will linger this weekend with highs in the low and mid 60s. Saturday stays dry as we await the next weather maker. It will arrive Sunday and could cause some trouble for post-Christmas vacation travelers. Widespread rain will develop and could turn heavy through Sunday afternoon. Parts of the area could receive up to 2.0" by late Sunday night. This system will exit quickly. We will be dry once again on Monday. It will be turning chillier behind this system. Instead of the 60s, highs will be closer to normal in the 40s to end 2019.
