We’re into week two of the Lexington Legends and the great weather continues! This series will come with another “pothole” but most of the time spent at the games will be with great weather.

*Game times and information below may not be current, check the Lexington Legends website for more information: https://www.milb.com/lexington

Thursday:
Vs. Columbia Fireflies
7:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Thirsty Thursday
Thursday will be nice for the fans and challenging for those on the field. Thursday, a warm front passes allowing temperatures to soar into the upper 70s through the afternoon. This will put the first-pitch temperature right around 75 degrees. The wind will be kicking, however, thanks to an incoming front. A southwesterly wind will be gusting to 40 mph at times. The grandstand will help some as it faces opposite the wind, but some of the higher hit balls will carry some (may be good for home runs!).

Friday:
Vs. Columbia Fireflies
7:05 PM EDT
Timing on the incoming cold front will have rain falling mostly in the morning. Current trends show that by the afternoon/evening showers will be pushing eastward and should be leaving the Bluegrass. Seats will be wet, and there may be a few leftover showers as the game is getting underway. Rain showers taper off as the night wears on. Breezy conditions continue into Friday and will be gusty through the game out of the southwest.

Saturday:
Vs. Columbia Fireflies
6:35
PM EDT
Promotion: Post-Game Fireworks Show
Saturday brings another great day for baseball, especially since temperatures will run slightly cooler. We’ll top out in the low to mid-60s right around first pitch, making it mild for the game time played under the sun/cloud mix. The wind will be calmer for this game and temperatures will run mild. By the time the last of the game is being played, temperatures will chill into the upper 50s, but it will still be nice. It may be a little chilly if you’re staying for the after-game fireworks show, so a light jacket may not be a bad idea.

Sunday:
Vs. Columbia Fireflies
2:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Kids Get In Free!
Like opening weekend, Sunday looks to be the “pothole” day with a VERY good chance for rain and thunderstorms. As of now, the game is still a go, but checking the website may be a good idea. If you remember, last Sunday’s game was also canceled due to weather. If you’re a diehard…have a rain jacket and the FREE StormTracker Weather App so you can stay on top of the thunderstorms.
