This will be a busy week/weekend for the Legends as they take on two teams in six days. The team will be taking on the Kannapolis Intimidators Wednesday through Friday and the Augusta GreenJackets Saturday through Monday, all at Whitaker Bank! The best news is the multitude of promotions for kids and adults through the series.

Now, whether the weather will cooperate is another matter entirely. As of now, we have a mixture of things to contend with.

*Game times and information below may not be current, check the Lexington Legends website for more information: https://www.milb.com/lexington

Wednesday, May 8th:
Vs. Kannapolis Intimidators
12:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Afternoon Game
The only Wednesday home game in May will take place in the early afternoon. This will be great for those who have the day off, or if you want to take a long lunch break to go see some great baseball. Wednesday will be (without a doubt) the best day for baseball this week/weekend. Temperatures will be summer-like, but the humidity will be low. A comfortable heat will be around, along with plenty of sunshine, so water and sunscreen will be a must.

Thursday, May 9th:
Vs. Kannapolis Intimidators
7:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Thirsty Thursday
Promotion: Bark in the Park
Thursday looks to be the work-week day with the best chance for showers and storms. A round of showers will move through in the morning, but a secondary line of storms will be present in the afternoon/evening. The timing could move it out before the game, but showers are still likely to be around, even with a few rumbles of thunder. Temperatures will be normal for this time of the year.

Friday, May 10th:
Vs. Kannapolis Intimidators
7:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Craft Beer Week Kickoff
Promotion: Post-Game Fireworks
Craft Beer Week kicks off this Friday!
A handful of specialty beers will be on tap for your enjoyment.
Even though Friday promises rain and storms, the majority will be in the morning hours. This is good for an evening first pitch, as most of the activity will be gone. Still, a chance for a few stray showers is certainly possible. Otherwise, it will be a mild evening and nice for the game. Don’t forget about the post-game fireworks show (weather permitting).

Saturday, May 11th:
Vs. Augusta GreenJackets
6:35 PM EDT

Promotion: Post-Game Fireworks
Saturday will be another day to contend with showers and storms. Unfortunately, the peak of activity looks to arrive late day. Rain jackets will be a very good idea over the entire weekend as storms will be prevalent. Temperatures will also run cooler than average only topping out in the 60s.

Sunday, May 12th:
Vs. Augusta GreenJackets
2:05 PM EDT
Promotion: Post-Game Fireworks
Again, Mother’s Day looks to contain a good chance for showers and storms. Rain jackets will be a very good idea over the entire weekend as storms will be prevalent. Temperatures will also run cooler than average only topping out in the 60s.

Monday, May 13th:
Vs. Augusta GreenJackets
10:35 PM EDT
Promotion: Education Day
Though not pictured in the graphic, the sixth and final game in the stretch will be a late morning game on Monday. Monday will feature “Education Day” where children will have a chance to learn about the science and math of baseball at the game! Showers will be wrapping up early Monday and the chance for late day showers will be low. Still, a rain jacket (just in case) would be a good ally.
