It’s time for another round of Lexington Legends Baseball, and the weather couldn’t have played out any better for it! Partly cloudy skies and warm summer-like temperatures will be the norm for the weekend upcoming.

Series: May 17th – May 20th
Opponent: Asheville Tourists

*Game times and information below may not be current, check the Lexington Legends website for more information: https://www.milb.com/lexington

Friday, May 17th:
First Pitch: 7:05 PM EDT
Girl Scout Campout
Stache Tank Giveaway
Post-Game Fireworks
Friday will be one of the best days to be out at the ballpark. It’s practically “Goldilocks” weather. Not too hot, and not too cold. Temperatures will start in the low 80s for first pitch and cool, once the sun goes down, to the low 70s for the after-game fireworks show. Rain chances remain low during the entire game, so enjoy it. The first 1,000 ticketed fans through the gates will receive a giveaway (TBA) for the Stache Tank program!

Saturday, May 18th:
First Pitch: 6:35 PM EDT
Breast Cancer Awareness Night
Post-Game Fireworks
It’s all about the ladies this Saturday night as the Legends wear pink in an effort to fight against breast cancer! The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game and the proceeds will go to Kentucky CancerLink, Yes Mamm, and Susan G. Komen. The match up will go down as a typical summer ball game. Hot, humid, and mostly sunny. Staying hydrated is a must. Also, sunscreen would be a good idea as the sun will be bearing down during the game. Temperatures will cool into the low-70s for the post-game fireworks. So wear your pink and come out and enjoy the game!

Sunday, May 19th:
First Pitch: 2:05 PM EDT
Kids Get in Free!
Family Playtime on the Field
It’s kids’ day at Whitaker Bank and the weather will be great for the pregame toss-around and the game itself. Sunday looks to be the hottest of the bunch, especially since the first pitch is earlier in the day. Bring plenty of sunscreen and down plenty of water. There will be a small chance for isolated pop-up showers and t-showers, so a rain jacket may come in handy as well; just in case.

Monday, May 20th:
First Pitch: 7:05 PM EDT
Monday is shaping up to be a problem day in the weather department as scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected. Most of the activity is shaping up for the morning hours. A cold front sliding in will try to clear the Bluegrass before the evening meaning that the rain should be tapering off or will be finished before first pitch. Still, have a rain jacket handy just in case. Temperatures will also be cooling through the game thanks to a wind shift behind the front. We’ll start in the upper 70s and end in the low 70s around the end.
