Not a bad way to end winter - sunshine and a chilly high of 40°. The final night of winter will be, you guessed it cold, with lows in the mid 20s under clear skies. Then suddenly it's spring! Meteorological Spring begins tomorrow and the forecast will follow suit. Temperatures will rebound nicely with a high of 60°(!!). It will be a fairly pleasant day overall as skies become partly sunny during the afternoon.
This early spring warmth will eventually be accompanied by rounds of rain and storms. Showers will move in Sunday night and continue through Tuesday. The Commonwealth, especially southern Kentucky, will be in the middle of this multi-day heavy rain event. Two to three inches of rain will be possible. Areal and river flooding concerns may arise. The rain will clear out Wednesday morning. As conditions dry out, temperatures will also cool down through the end of the week.
