It's the coldest morning in Lexington since early April. A number of spots are recording the first frost, or even freeze, of the season. The last time there was a frost in Lexington was on April 1st. The Frost Advisory will remain in effect through 9 AM.
After this frosty start, temperatures will rebound into the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine. It won't be quite as chilly overnight with lows in the lower 40s. A little warming trend will continue into new week with highs climbing through the 70s. We'll also keep it dry. Our next cold front arrives early Wednesday. There will be a few showers Tuesday night into Wednesday followed by another dip in temperature. The cooler air won't linger for long. A surge of warmer air will send temperatures into the 70s next weekend.
